In November 2012, the University of Sao Paulo and the Marine Biological Laboratory at Woods Hole funded a week long intensive Biology of Parasitism course in Juquehy, Sao Paulo Brazil. 50 students and 20 world-class experts in a wide variety of parasitology fields worked together day and night, reviewing the latest in parasite biology studied around the world.
